Cornell University Latin American bibliographer from 1985 until his retirement in 2009. He played important roles in the Latin American Studies Program and the Einaudi Center. The Book Collection Contest was instituted in 2003 continuing the tradition of the Arthur H. and Mary Marden Dean Book Collection Contest that was helf from 1966 to 1987.
